LG workers get 2022 promotion letters in Kwara

Workers across the 16 local government areas in Kwara State have been offered promotion letters.
Announcing the development, Chairman of the Kwara State Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Umar Danladi Shero, praised Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for granting the approval to effect the 2022 promotion of the staff.
Over 2,000 staff of the local government benefitted from promotion into various grade levels of the service and were presented their letters at a brief event by the Chairman.
According to the Chairman, Governor AbdulRazaq does not interfere with the finances of the local governments and he has been committed to their up to date payment, including implementation of the N30,000 minimum wage for local government workers.
The Governor also ensured the offset of backlogs of salaries owed by the previous administration.
Alhaji Shero said, It is worth mentioning that the present administration under the amiable Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has recorded the unprecedented achievements in the following areas over the last three and half years.
1. Prompt payment of staff salary on monthly basis.
2. Payment of backlog arrears of salaries owned the staff by the past administration.
3. Implementation of the approved minimum wage with cash backing among other numerous achievements.
Commissioner I, Hon. Abdulganiyu Omotosho Toyeeb, stated that compared to where the Local Government system was coming from, the staff have had it so good in terms of receiving maximum government attention under the present administration.
Director of Personnel Management, Hajia Adamoh Arinola Ibrahim, also appreciated Governor AbdulRazaq, assuring him of the support of the entire local government staff to reciprocate his good gesture to the local government service.
