Photos: Sri Lanka’s Presidential Advisor Caught On Tape Allegedly Abusing A Pet Dog
A disgusting video recordings of an Advisor to Sri Lanka’s President allegedly abusing a dog have gone viral online.
Adarshaa Karadana asserted that after growing suspicious of Marasinghe’s behavior with the dog, she secretly taped him abusing the dog in their bedroom.
Following the release of the damaging films, Prof. Ashu Marasinghe, a former member of parliament and advisor to the president, announced his resignation today (Friday, 23rd), citing personal reasons.
51-year-old Marasinghe served in the legislature from 2017 until 2020 as a United National Party representative on the National List.

According to Karadana, she had lived with Marasinghe for a few years.
She claimed that after learning he was mistreating her dog, she ultimately made the decision to break up with him.
According to English.newsfirst.lk, There was no immediate comment from the Presidential Secretariat apart from a terse statement announcing Marasinghe’s resignation. Sri Lanka’s police also did not immediately comment.
Ms. Premachandra asserted that Marasinghe could be guilty of offenses under Sri Lanka’s Penal Code and could face up to 20 years in prison.
