KWASU VC dies

Prof. Muhammed Mustapha-Akanbi, the vice chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has passed away.

After a brief illness, he was declared deceased on Sunday night.

The Nigeria Bar Association (NBA)-Ilorin confirmed the VC’s passing in a statement made by Ridwan Musa, the association’s publicity secretary.In accordance with Islamic customs, the late Vice Chancellor will be buried in Ilorin on Monday, November 21, 202, according to the statement.

This is to inform you that Prof. Muhammed Mustapha-Akanbi, SAN, passed away today, November 20, 2022.

At his home in Ilorin, Kwara State, tomorrow shortly following Salatul-‘Asr, the Janzah prayer will be conducted on his remains.

Akanbi had more than 60 national and international papers before his passing in respected peer-reviewed journals with a focus on arbitration law and alternative dispute resolution. Corporate management law and practice are some of his other research specialties.
